No contract will be awarded if the lowest and best Base Bid is in-excess-of 10% above the Engineer's pre-bid estimate of cost, which is $1,320,000.00. Each Bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Such Bid guaranty shall be in the form of either a bond, secured by a corporate surety, in the amount of 100% of the bid amount; or a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit, made payable to the District, in an amount equal to 10% of the Bid amount. All corporate sureties shall be licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. The Southwest Regional Water District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bidding. The District reserves the right to award separate contracts for each Part or to award a combined contract for both Parts. The project is described as follows: Provide labor, material, and equipment to install a new 16" diameter water main 5,350-foot long along with necessary connections, two bore, two creek crossing, and meter services starting at the intersection of Tolbert & ST RT-503, and continuing to the intersection of ST RT-503 & Oxford-Middletown Roads; Wayne Township; Butler County, Ohio.
