The City of Newark, Department of Water and Sewer Utilities, is soliciting through the Fair and Open Process in accordance with The New Jersey "Local Unit Pay to Play" Law N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq., "Request for Qualifications" (RFQ) for "Professional Engineering Services on an As-Needed Basis" The RFQ should be returned in a sealed envelope which bears the name of the proposer of the RFQ clearly marked "RFQ" for "Professional Engineering Services on an As-Needed Basis,"/Attention Mr. Kareem Adeem, Director. The City of Newark reserves the right to waive any and all formalities or altogether reject any RFQ as is in the best interest of the City. Awards made under the Fair and Open Process shall be made to those vendors whose qualifications are most advantageous to the City of Newark. Factors include but are not limited to experience and/or reputation in field, knowledge of the agency and the subject matter to be addressed under the proposal and contract, compensation proposal and other factors if determined to be in the best interest of the City of Newark. All awards are subject to Municipal Council Approval. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
