The work of this project is to construct a new entrance stair and elevator addition to Hillborough Hall, inclusive of (but not limited to) the following items: .1 Selective demolition of the facility and disconnection from the utilities at the existing location. .2 Construction of new concrete foundations as indicated. Note: As per Specification Section 31 23 00 1.11, the soil is to be excavated and visually inspected by a Geotechnical Engineer to determine if the soil appears to provide sufficient load-bearing capacity. Any additional fill removal, replacement or compaction determined to be required at that time shall be completed under a change notice. .3 Construction of new suspended slab at new entrance. .4 Construction of new entry addition including new elevator, shaft, stairs, and railings. .5 Minor modifications to existing upper level washroom as indicated. .6 New interior finishes as indicated. .7 Finish grading around addition, seeding, and patching asphalt walkway. .8 Mechanical work as identified. .9 Electrical work as identified. .2 All in accordance with the requirements of the Specifications; Drawings (listed on the Index of Specifications and Drawings); .3 The Contractor is to coordinate with the City for the turnover of the existing building. .4 Contractor to provide a site specific safety plan. .5 The work included under this Project is subject to permitting and approval from Authorities Having Jurisdiction including City of Charlottetown Council Approval.
