Site work and paving for a road / highway in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City is requesting the following work to be performed: 1. Removal of the existing wooden boardwalk. 2. Removal of any substandard base material. 3. Supply and placement 5.08 cm to 15 cm (2" to 6") of granular base material on top of the existing 6" of base material for a total of 25.4 cm (10"). The goal would be to have the elevation of the finished boardwalk level with the bottom step in the area. 4. Construction of new wooden boardwalk including planking and sleepers. 5. Installation of a new timber curb, similar to the one used in the Peake's Wharf area. TIMELINE: Tender from general contractors was cancelled as no submissions were received. Project may be published in the future, pending owner's decision to proceed. Coverage of this report is discontinued.
