Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Completed plans call for the construction of a 56,000-square-foot, two-story above grade, 600-seat stadium; and swimming pool.
Construction of a new six-lane pool and NHL -sized arena with seating for 600, along with an elevated walking track circling the building. The existing building will be demolished, and the new building will be a pre-engineered welded steel structure. Solar system installation and LED lighting will be utilized. TIMELINE Tender package #6 is currently underway (followed separately). Construction has started. *Rink design is by IB Storey Inc. *Total project cost is estimated to be $22 million + HST. *Consulting engineers have not been released for publication.
