Renovation of a municipal facility in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Renovation of the Daniel J MacDonald - Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) building. The overall requirement of this project is to implement an upgraded replacement to the Daniel J MacDonald Buildings mechanical and electrical systems, upgrade necessary safety equipment, and complete a new fit-up to A Workplace 2.0 and an Activity Based Workplace (ABW) standard. - Preparation-Interior demolition of the building and dispose of waste in accordance with a Waste Diversion Plan; - Mechanical - The majority of the mechanical systems require replacement; - Plumbing - The entire plumbing system requires replacement; - Heating - The entire heating system requires replacement; - Ventilation - The entire ventilation system requires replacement; - Controls - The entire Energy Management and Control System (EMCS) requires replacement; - Fire Protection - The entire fire protection system requires replacement; - Electrical - Upgrade power distribution, emergency power, wiring, lighting and communication systems; - Windows - All windows require replacement; and, - Fit-up and Layouts - to meet the GC Workplace standards.
