Demolition, site work and renovation of a fire / police facility in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for the demolition of a fire / police facility.
The Client will be taking over the adjacent office to the OCC. The wall separating these two spaces will have to be torn down and any mechanical/electrical re-routed. A swing space will be required for existing staff to maintain operations during the construction phase. There is to be new raised flooring installed throughout OCC and extended into this new office space. Also included will be a new glass panel office and glass panel conference room within new OCC room, similar to those already installed elsewhere in the facility. Options are to be looked at regarding provision of a lower profile raised floor and required associated modification to underfloor cooling distribution. New expanded OCC space also to be fully repainted. TIMELINE: A Request for proposal from design consultant services closed on November 1, 2021 however, no contracts were awarded. Project may be republished in the future if/when it's been approved to proceed with design/construction. Covrerage of this report is discontinued.
