The Work generally includes (but is not limited to): Concrete sidewalk improvements, a free-standing masonry lacrosse practice wall, and associated restoration. All contracts for work herein are subject to all District rules and regulations. This contract calls for the construction of a public work, within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. All bids will remain firm for ninety (90) days after the bid opening. The Board of Park Commissioners of the Glen Ellyn Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive bid formalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid that serves the best interests of the District. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The successful contract bidder(s) are encouraged to utilize minority and women owned businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. This project is partially funded by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources through an Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant. Pre-Bid Meeting: none.
