All library materials, equipment, and furniture will be removed prior to the project start by staff and is not a contractor responsibility. 1. Main Library Area: Flooring a. Due to a sensitive nature of current flooring; the replacement flooring will be laid atop the existing. b. Flooring replacement with wood look laminate flooring. Selection should not exceed $3.25 per square foot. c. Includes flooring install following proper installations instructions and necessary materials including but not limited to padding, sealing, proper removal of obstructions to ensure a flat lay, and base molding. 2. Main Library Area: Wall Painting a. To include minor wall repair for cracks, scrapes, etc. to ensure a clean surface. b. Proper wall painting steps to include primer and quality paint that can withstand standard cleaning, clean edges, and finishes. Project Completion by: September 31st, 2022 Wall colors and flooring finish will be selected within one week after winning bid is selected; flooring samples or description with picture finish options should be included with the proposal for final selection. Proposal Requirements: 1. The proposal shall include a sub-total of costs including materials and labor for each numbered phase. 2. The proposal shall include an expected time frame to complete each numbered phase (in # of days). 3. The proposal shall include commercial grade flooring with a preference of warranty and paint brand samples that the contractor will utilize. 4. The proposal shall include an ensured plan to dispose of all materials at the conclusion of the project. 5. The proposal shall include a brief summary of contractor's experience with like projects and education/experience of lead carpenter that will be in charge of conducting work on the project to completion. Wall colors and flooring finish will be selected within one week after winning bid is selected; flooring samples or description with picture finish options should be included with the proposal. Contract will be awarded to the submission with the best proposal meeting the evaluation criteria.
