In general, the work consists of all necessary labor, material, equipment and traffic control necessary to perform all operations for the application of a Rejuvenating Agent to the bituminous asphalt roadways. The rejuvenation of surface courses will be performed by spray application of a specialized rejuvenating agent composed of petroleum oils and resins emulsified with water. All work will be performed in accordance with these Specifications. A list of streets will be provided to the contractor along with approximate quantities. The successful bidder shall begin work within a fifteen (15) day notice from the City. The City of Morristown is soliciting bids from qualified vendors for the application of a Rejuvenating Agent to bituminous asphalt roadways. The rejuvenation of surface courses will be performed by spray application of a specialized rejuvenating agent composed of petroleum oils and resins emulsified with water. All work will be performed in accordance with these Specifications. Upon the approval of the selected bidder, the City of Morristown is seeking an initial contract that will cover approximately a one (1) year term that begins after City Council approval. Thereafter, the contract may be extended for an additional year, with the agreement of both the City and the Contractor, up to two (2) times. Please provide a sample contract with bid. It is anticipated that the City will perform the work on approximately five (5) miles of roadway each year of the potential three (3) year contract. However, there is no guarantee that this amount will be performed. The authorized scope of work will be determined annually solely by the City.
