the Sebastian County Judge will receive sealed proposals at the Purchasing Department. Proposals will be taken for Sebastian County Juvenile Detention Center Shower Renovations for Sebastian County. Proposals must, in all matters, comply with the laws of the State of Arkansas. Small businesses, as well as minority or women's businesses, are encouraged to participate in this process. The County Judge reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any formalities, or to accept any proposal deemed most advantageous to the County. The purpose of this bid is to remove existing three (3) showers then fabricate and install three (3) stainless steel showers in the Sebastian County Juvenile Detention Center facility located at 801 South 'A' Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901. All work will be performed in an occupied detention center. The proposal shall include the following: 1.Fabricate stainless steel shower unit to be installed i. Type 304, 14 gage stainless steel for the walls ii. Type 304, 11 gage stainless steel for the pan and curb iii. All fasteners shall be stainless steel iv. Exposed fasteners shall be SECURITY type heads 2. Clean the existing surfaces thoroughly before installation of new shower unit 3. Install three (3) new stainless steel shower pans and walls i. Shall confirm to the existing conditions including the curb ii. Shall extend to the outside face of the curb iii. Shall have minimum number of water resistant joints iv. Shall coordinate with licensed plumber to install new floor drain assembly in the pan (Contact Purchasing or Facilities and Maintenance Superintendent for information) v. Floor drain assembly shall be comparable to the existing assembly vi. Floor drain grate shall be installed using stainless steel SECURITY screws vii. All adhesives and sealants shall be detention (high shore) grade *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
