Cost Estimate: $2M to $2.5M For furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work for AIP Project No. 3-22-0026-61-2022, Passenger Boarding Bridge Gates 2 and 3 at Lake Charles Regional Airport. Overview: The project consists of the replacement of bridges at Gates 2 and 3 with apron drive boarding bridges. The required minimum lengths are indicated on the plans. Each bridge will be capable of horizontal travel, telescoping 25. Behind the PBB rotunda, a sloping, fixed tunnel will extend over an existing metal roof to connect to the doorway of the terminal. Ground power (28VDC and 400hz) and preconditioned air are required for the aircraft. The fixed tunnel shall be supplied with air conditioning capable of cooling all tunnel lengths for a typical summer day. A mechanical conveyor or elevator method of moving late bags and wheelchairs up and down the exterior of the bridge to the cab service door and landing shall be included. The contractor shall provide the structural, electrical, and mechanical design for all components of the project, including the fixed tunnel portion and concrete foundations for column supports. Retrofit existing bridges at positions 1 and 4 with pre-conditioned air units. All bids/proposals can either be electronically submitted under the appropriate solicitation/listing accessed online at www.bidexpress.com, or in a sealed envelope by U.S. Mail, private carrier, or hand delivery. Hard copy proposal submitted shall be placed in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the project name and number, and name, business address, and Louisiana Contractors License number of the bidder on the outside. When sent by mail, preferably registered, the sealed proposal, marked as indicated above, shall be enclosed in an additional envelope. No proposal will be considered unless received at the place specified in the advertisement before the time specified for opening of bids. Proposals received after the bid opening time shall be returned to the bidder unopened. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. Bid Bond, equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the bid and made payable to the Airport Authority, Airport District No. One of the Parish of Calcasieu must accompany each bid. Performance and Payment Bonds for the construction is required upon execution of the contract equal to one hundred percent (100%) of said contract amount. The Bidder shall comply with the Equal Employment Opportunity, and Safety Provisions during the performance of the contract. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must insure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age and disability. Prior to performing work on this project, all Contractors shall be properly licensed under chapter 24 of Title 37 of Louisiana Revised Statutes (R.S. 37:2150-2164 as amended). The Airport Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to waive technicalities in accordance with Louisiana R.S. 38:2214 and further, reserves the right to delay awarding of the contract for a period of forty-five (45) days. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
