A timeline for award has not yet been established.** 2022 Sewer Rehabilitation Wilford Ave. 14th to "D" Streets City of East St. Louis ("The City") is soliciting proposals for the Rehabilitation of Various Streets in the City of East St. Louis as more fully set out in the Scope of Work section of this Request for Proposals ("RFP"). The city will evaluate RFPs and make a selection based on the firm's technical ability, experience, and ability to perform the work. The City will not provide compensation or defray any costs incurred by any firm related to the response to this request. The City reserves the right to negotiate with any and all persons or firms. The City also reserves the right to reject any or all RFPs, or to accept any deemed most advantageous to the City, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the RFPs received, and to revise the process schedule as circumstances arise. Latest Time to Submit-Request for Interpretation - August 17, 2022 Latest Time to Issue An Addendum - August 19, 2022 SCOPE OF WORK SANITARY SEWER - A sewer has failed and caused a sewer backup in the easement as described above. The proposed improvement includes the removal and replacement of 340 LF of 8' clay tile with 8" PVC sewer rated pipe at this location. The sewer replacement shall be quoted at 5 feet deep. There are three trees that are in the easement that will need to be removed and hauled to the City's burn site on 59 th Street. STORM SEWERS - A depression in the pavement is directly over a storm sewer pipe. Contractor shall us all labor, equipment and materials to remove and replace an 18-inch pipe. Contract shall sawcut and excavate from a manhole to manhole. The distance is 261 lineal feet from manhole to manhole. Contractor shall provide a pavement section as indicated on the plans. Contractor shall strictly follow all rock compaction standards to prevent future pavement base faulting. Contractor shall provide by-pass pumping and dewatering as necessary. By making a proposal on the Project, the Bidder represents that the Bidder has examined the Scope of Work.
