This Contract provides for the improvement of pavement markings on select City of Bremerton streets. The work includes, but is not limited to, removing pavement markings, installing pavement markings, temporary traffic control, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. The work will be completed as a 3-year unit priced contract as allowed by RCW 35.22.620. Contractors should read all language in the Contract Documents including the Special Provisions carefully. The City may exercise the option of extending the unit priced contract for 1 additional year. Work will be authorized annually using a Work Order form. Estimated annual quantities for each category of work are included in the Bid Schedule. Refer to notes on the Proposal Form for information on bid evaluation procedures and annual adjustment of the unit prices. Engineer's Estimate for this project is $300,000 to $320,000 for Work Order 1 (2022) and approximately $320,000 per Work Order for subsequent Work Orders over the Contract term. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Price shown in the Bid Schedule. The failure to furnish a bid deposit of a minimum of 5 percent shall make the bid nonresponsive and shall cause the bid to be rejected by the Contracting Agency. : The successful bidder will also be required to provide a Performance Bond for 100 percent of the Total Bid Price shown in the Bid Schedule. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bremerton. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
