Renovation of a water / sewer project in Ocean Pines, Maryland. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Project Summary: Mystic Harbour Treatment Plant expansion and improvements to the effluent disposal systems. Purpose: Expanding the Mystic Harbour Treatment Plant and consolidating the effluent disposal system to optimize the effluent disposal systems. The following activities are proposed: 1) Rehabilitate the Assateague Point Lagoon and convert into a wastewater effluent holding facility. 2) Expand the Mystic Harbour Wastewater Treatment Plant by placing treatment unit tank 4 into service (150,999 gpd) 3) Interconnect effluent piping from Mystic Harbour and Landings to allow more disposal options. This project is in included in the City's or County's FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of August 10, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
