California State University East Bay (CSUEB) is soliciting the services of a Materials Testing and Special Inspection firm with specialized expertise in the construction of public buildings for the Applied Sciences Center Project. The project involves approximately 21,000 gross square feet, 2- story building housing interdisciplinary research laboratories and student support spaces with CM@Risk as delivery method. The anticipated project schedule is as follows: Construction Start (Issue NTP) December 2022 The successful firm shall provide special testing and inspection services. Material testing services may include, but are not limited to, soils, aggregates, concrete, concrete masonry units, mortar and structural steel. Test may include, but not limited to, concrete mix design, compressive strength, compaction test, PT concrete compression, PT cable tension, non-destructive testing of steel and concrete, and soil classification. SOQ need not be voluminous, but shall provide sufficient information to allow the campus to evaluate the Service Provider's approach, experience, staff and availability. The proposer shall include: A. Business Profile o State the name of your firm, address, telephone, e-mail address, date firm established, and type of business (individual, corporation, etc.). o List applicable license number(s), registration number(s), and federal taxpayer ID number. o Identify who is authorized to sign agreements and represent your firm in matters related to this Statement of Qualifications. o Provide a brief description of your firm including public project experience. B. Firm's Experience Elaborate your firm's expertise and services on public works and higher education. Include references on projects that you've worked on. Include the number of years the firm has been doing business in California. Provide an organization chart. C. Provide resumes of individuals who will be assigned to work on campus.
