As of May 16, 2024, an engineer was not awarded and this project has been cancelled. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Sandusky (City) invites qualified professional design firms to submit qualifications to undertake the City of Sandusky's Sheldon's Marsh Intake & Transmission Main Design project. With guidance from city and county staff, the consultant will complete detailed design documents for permitting and construction of all improvements and equipment required to utilize the facility as required. Desired improvements include the following numbered items from the attachment Appendix G: 2. Permanganate feed system to protect intake pipe from zebra/quagga mussels 11. Video surveillance and intrusion alarms on all access points 13. Shoreline and roadway protection, including sea wall and breakwater 15. Back up power generator and transfer switch 16. Increase the service transformer size with new primary and secondary feeds 18. Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for interface with BIWW & DOES 19.
