As of January 2025, the project is in design. Information regarding contractor bidding has not been disclosed. The project is a public and private joint funded project. The facility will include a pro shop, golf cart storage facility, and restaurant. As a first step, the City is looking to partner with a professional design firm with significant experience developing plans for public play golf course clubhouses to develop a Preliminary Design plan and rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimates for the new facility. This could also include potential modifications to the golf course, parking layout, and location of the practice facilities. The anticipated budget for this phase of the project is $60,000. The Preliminary Design plan process will be informed by City staff, CourseCo Inc., Parks, Recreation, Golf, and Double Butte Cemetery Advisory Board and community outreach.
