Akers Park Project All bids shall be accompanied by a BID BOND or CERTIFIED CHECK in the amount of ten (10%) of the bid, in favor of the City of Catlettsburg. Bid bonds shall be issued by a responsible surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Certified checks shall be made payable to the CITY OF CATLETTSBURG The contractor shall guarantee all the work for a period of one (1) year from the date of final payment, as written on said check, against defects resulting from the use of inferior materials, equipment or workmanship. This guarantee period shall be covered by the performance bond and payment bond as agreed upon between the City and the contractor prior to the final payment of the work. Each contractor shall be required to follow the guidelines of the City of Catlettsburg Occupational License Fee. The work and delivery, which the contractor is required to perform under this contract, shall be complete on or before 180 days from the notice to proceed. The City of Catlettsburg, through its Mayor, reserves the right to accept all or to reject all or any part of the bid should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Catlettsburg
