Major items of work include the following: This project consists of installing approximately 665 linear feet of 10-inch waterline, 675 linear feet of 6-inch force main, horizontal directional drilling/boring, sending and receiving pits, tapping sleeves, fittings, and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents, technical specifications, and plans. Ardurra reserves the right to process checks electronically by transmitting the amount of the check, routing number, account number, and check serial number to your financial institution. A bid bond by an acceptable surety, in the amount of 5% of the bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Owner or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the U.S. Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age, or national origin. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. Performance and Payment Bonds are required of all Prime Contractors which enter into a formal contract in excess of $25,000 with the State, any department, board, agency, municipality, county, school district, or any division or subdivision thereof, the Prime Contractor is to obtain a Payment Bond in the amount of the contract before commencing with work and a Performance Bond for public works contracts in excess of $100,000.
