The successful Bidder shall conduct archaeological services where fire guards were built or in areas where roads were modified for fire control efforts within the Selkirk Forest District. Specific work units and known locations will be provided. Addition locations may be determined through the course of the contract term. Archaeological services shall include office Archaeology Overview Assessments (AOA) and field Archaeology Impact Assessments (AIA), as required. These services are necessary to ensure that archaeological resource values and related concerns are considered at the appropriate level. In managing archaeological resources, the Selkirk Forest District Wildfire Rehabilitation program seeks to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with Indigenous Peoples in the Selkirk Forest District Area. This contract seeks Bidders who currently possess strong working relationships with Indigenous Peoples with traditional territories within the Selkirk Forest District. Notification and Communication of all planned Archaeology field work with Indigenous Peoples is understood to be an integral part of this contract. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
