Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: Extension of a proposed 8" diameter sanitary sewer that will connect to the existing manhole at the end of Linn Street. The project will extend east and north through four properties. The intend of the project is to serve the Industrial Park for both present and future building facilities. Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City of Hamilton, 1010 Broadway Street, Hamilton, Illinois, and IMEG Corp., 714 E. Jackson Street, Macomb, Illinois. Electronic copies of the A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Hamilton, Illinois, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. There is a 14.02% MBE/WBE goal for this project. Minority and Women Owned Business enterprises are encouraged to participate in this project. The City of Hamilton, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Hamilton, Illinois, for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
