Middle Housing Implementation ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD FOR CONTRACT: October 3, 2022 - June 30, 2023 The Washington State Department of COMMERCE, hereafter called "COMMERCE," is initiating this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals from firms interested in supporting COMMERCE to inform about and assist local governments with middle housing policies, regulations, and programs. For purposes of this RFP, "middle housing" refers to house-scale structures including duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, fiveplexes, sixplexes, townhouses, courtyard apartments, cottage housing, and stacked flats. The RFP Coordinator is the sole point of contact in COMMERCE for this procurement. All communication between the Consultant and COMMERCE upon release of this RFP shall only be with the RFP Coordinator, as follows: Name Paul Johnson E-Mail Address Paul.Johnson@COMMERCE.wa.gov RFP Question Submittal period Aug. 9 to 18 COMMERCE reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject any and all proposals received without penalty and not to issue a contract as a result of this RFP.
