Site work for a water / sewer project in Fort Edward, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Washington County Sewer District #2 (WCSD#2) is soliciting bids for the Route 197 Force Main Replacement Project with Labella Associates acting as the project engineer. The enclosed documents are for the replacement of a sanitary sewer force main and necessary accessories, and replacement of a pump station control panel in the Village of Fort Edward, Washington County, New York. The force main is suspended under the Route 197 (Bridge Street) Bridge that connects Rogers Island to Fort Edward, NY. A contract will be signed between WCSD#2 and the Contractor. Attached is a set of plans and technical specifications to be used for bidding purposes. Please read carefully and submit a sealed bid per the Instructions to Bidders. Work will begin upon the signing of a contract between the WCSD#2 and Contractor. Estimated start date for this project is September 12, 2022. An estimated ending date must be included with the bid. This may be a factor when awarding the bid. Questions and requests for clarifications should be submitted via email to jdenno@washingtoncountyny.gov no later than August 23, 2022. Answers to questions and requests for clarifications will be compiled and posted as an addendum on the County's website no later than August 25, 2022, 4:30 PM Contract term: Completed by 12/31/2022 Purchases by the County of Washington are not subject to any Sales tax, Federal Excise Tax, or Transportation Tax. Bid price will be net at point of delivery indicated in bid. All material must be furnished as per bid and detailed specifications attached. Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder barring any rejections or waiving of informalities in any or all bids. Obtaining the necessary work permits from the NYSDOT and NYS Canal Corporation. Removing and replacing the existing Force Main suspended from the bridge (total length approximately 385 LF) and all appurtenances including expansion joints, air vacuum release valve, heat trace, and vertical risers to the buried force main. Replacing pipe support brackets and hangers as needed if significant deterioration is noted during pipe installation. Providing electrical connection and service for the proposed heat trace, including coordination with National Grid. Replacing existing duplex control panel at Rogers Island Pump Station.
