This federally funded Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality (CMAQ) project involves the enhancement/reestablishment of the South Manchester Rail Trail from Gold Street to Perimeter Road (approximately 1 mile). The project includes the rehabilitation of a wooden trestle bridge in addition to pedestrian connections at Frontage Road and Goffs Falls Road. Proposals must be completed in both words and numerals on regular proposal forms, which shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked with the project title, addressed and delivered to the Department of Public Works not later than the date and time mentioned above, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the specified time will not be accepted. The project will be substantially completed within 365 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Bidders should note that the prices contained in the proposal will be considered valid for the duration of the construction. There will not be a pre-bid meeting.
