**As of October 05 ,2022, project was awarded to Schroeder Asphalt Services Inc. , awarded amount is $204,833.69.** Village of East Dundee that sealed proposals will be received for roadway construction consisting of hotmix asphalt (HMA) placement, pavement grinding, removal and construction of combination concrete curb
and gutter, removal and construction of concrete sidewalk, storm sewer construction, topsoil, seeding, pavement patching and other appurtenant work. All sealed proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified or Cashier's Check made payable to the Village of East Dundee for not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The successful bidder must furnish a satisfactory contract bond in the full amount of the bid. The SPECIAL PROVISION FOR BIDDING REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS FOR CONTRACT PROPOSALS, effective January 1, 2022, as prepared by the IDOT, Bureau of Local Roads and Streets and contained in the "Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions" adopted by the IDOT on January 1, 2022, shall apply fully to this project. All work under this contract shall comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate Act of the State of Illinois, 820 ILCS 130/1 et seq. and Employment of Illinois Works on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570/). Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after closing date without the consent of the Board of Trustees. Any Bid submitted unsealed, unsigned, fax transmissions or received subsequent to the aforementioned date and time, may be disqualified, and returned to the bidder. The Village of East Dundee reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding process or in any Bidder's Proposal, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the Village. The quantities appearing in the bid schedule are approximate and are prepared for the comparison of bids. Payment to the Contractor will be made only for the actual quantities of work performed and accepted or materials furnished according to the contract. The scheduled quantities of work to be done and materials to be furnished may be increased, decreased, or omitted as hereinafter provided. Submission of a bid shall be conclusive assurance and warranty that the bidder has examined the plans and understands all requirements for the performance of work. The bidder will be responsible for all errors in the proposal resulting from failure or neglect to conduct an in-depth examination. The Village of East Dundee will in no case be responsible for any costs, expenses, losses or changes in anticipated profits resulting from such failure or neglect of the bidder. The bidder shall take no advantage of any error or omission in the proposal and advertised contract.
