Renovation of a mixed-use development in Martinez, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.

As of September 9, 2022, no bids were received. No definite date for the rebid. The City of Martinez (City) is seeking bids to repair and update the chlorine feed system for both the lap and splash pools located at the Citys Rankin Aquatic Center. The work will involve installing booster pumps, additional small-bore piping to the existing chlorine feed system, as well as valving, anchoring, and installation of chemical loop piping. In addition, the project will also include replacing and rerouting the existing chlorine room exhaust fan and duct system, as well as replacing the chemical controllers for both the lap and splash pools. The City is seeking a quick turnaround of services and are motivated to move the project forward The Rankin Aquatic Center Chlorine System Improvements will include the following: o Removal and disposal of existing exhaust fan blow and ducting, furnish and install of new priorAIR6 C inline duct fan and ducting, with mounting brackets and EC-10V speed control. o Furnish and install two (2) Whistperflo VS 115-230V booster pumps with new house keeping pads and all related electrical. o Remove and dispose two (2) existing chemical controllers, furnish and install two (2) Becsys Becs5 chemical controllers with pH and ORP monitoring and control. o Furnish and install two (2) Siemens general duty non-fusible safety switches with new enclosures, one for each of the new pumps. o Furnish and install two (2) Diversitch ISO-CUBE economy anti-vibration ISO-18 housekeeping pads, one for each of the new pumps. o Removal/disposal and furnishing/installing piping, conduits, and conductors as shown on the drawings and details on Attachment C. o All other work for the removal/disposal and furnishing/installation as shown on the drawings and details on Attachment C. The terms and requirements of the Contract are shown in Attachment B. The Contractor shall complete all work, including mobilization within seven (7) working days. City agrees to pay Contractor for services specified in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement. Contractor shall submit an itemized invoice showing work done during the previous month. Payments shall be approved and made within thirty (30) days once the City approves of the work completed. Contractor will pay, and will require all subcontractors to pay, all workers on the work a salary or wage at least equal to the prevailing rate of per diem wages for such work as set forth in the wage determinations and wage standards applicable to this work. Copies of such prevailing rate of per diem wages can be found at the following website electronically The general contractor is required to have a California State Contractors License Class C53 Please submit any questions regarding this Bid in writing to Ali Hatefi at ahatefi@cityofmartinez.org by Friday August 19 at 4:00 PM. Questions will only be accepted via e-mail and responses will be compiled and posted on the Citys website electronically . It is your responsibility to obtain the answers from the Citys website and the City shall not be responsible for transmitting the answers to any holders of the NIB. The City reserves the right to waive minor irregularities, modify the selection process at any time, seek any clarification or additional information from bidders to evaluate a response, and not enter into a contract. The City reserves the sole right to evaluate each submittal and to accept or reject any or all submittals received as a result of the NIB process. The selection of the consultant may be dependent on the approval by the City Council or City Manager The NIB does not commit the City to award an agreement or contract or to pay any cost incurred in the preparation of the Proposal or response to RFP. Award of an agreement or contract does not guarantee that a Bidder will actually receive any work. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
