The work will take place on various roads throughout the City of Jurupa Valley. The scope of work consists of various new guardrail installation, removal and disposal of existing guardrail, installation of steel support posts and anchor assembly, installation of structure connection to connect guardrail and bridge, installation and removal of chainlink fence, relocate, replace and install new traffic signs, installation of reflective sheeting, installation of new delineators, traffic control and other related work as described in the Specifications and Contract Documents. Contractor's license "A" is required to bid with Bid bond of 10% of bid amount, construction duration is 90 working days and liquidated damages is $1000 per calendar days. Engineer's cost estimate of the project is $461,400. Contractor shall comply with the Prevailing wage requirement and SB 854. The project includes upgrading 27 existing metal beam guardrails at 18 locations to current Caltrans Midwest Guardrail System (MGS) standards, including new end treatments and beam sections, and relocating guardrails to correct locations in the City of Jurupa Valley. The work to be done, in general, consists of furnishing to the satisfaction of the Engineer, all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals unless otherwise specified to construct and complete the Contract in compliance with the Bid documents, to wit, the Agreement, any and all Contract Change Orders issued after the execution of the Agreement, any and all Addenda issued prior to the opening of the Bids, the Special Provisions (which includes the General Provisions and Technical Provisions), the project Plans, the Standard Plans, the Standard Specifications, Reference Specifications, the Bidder's Proposal all of which are essential parts of the Agreement, the Notice Inviting Bids, the Noncollusion Affidavit, the Faithful Performance Bond, and the Labor and Material Payment Bond, and the Bidder's Bond.
