SCOPE OF WORK WALKWAY AND SIDEWALK REPAIR THOMASTON HOUSING AUTHORITY THOMASTON, GEORGIA – TRIUNE VILLAGE, DRAKE HEIGHTS AND LINCOLN PARK CIRCLE TASK A. The Contractor: Shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary to replace select portions of the existing sidewalks and walkways at the Thomaston Housing Authority developments, Triune Village/ AMP 1, Drake Heights and Lincoln Park Circle /AMP 2 in accordance with specifications, and per applicable standards and requirements. B. The Work: The Work shall include, but shall not be limited to the following (not necessarily in the order indicated): 1. Contractor shall demolish and remove the selected portions of the concrete of selected sidewalks and walkways as identified by the agency. Concrete shall be removed to the nearest expansion joint, control joint, or for partial removals, in the location(s) as designated by the THA. 2. Excavate to remove existing base material to subgrade, install and compact new 4” thick aggregate base material in preparation for the placement of new concrete in accordance with the contract documents. Recompact existing subgrade to 95% compaction prior to placing new aggregate base material. 3. Place 4000 psi concrete (4” minimum thickness) with 6”x6”/W2.9 x W2.9 welded wire fabric (WWF). Install expansion joints, control joints, and provide a broom finish surface to match existing on new concrete surfaces per the contract specifications. 4. Joint sealant color shall match concrete color. Where adjacent concrete is of a lighter color, the joint sealant shall match the lighter color. 5. Provide dumpsters and contact company to haul away & dump debris and waste to an approved disposal site. Requirements: 1. Selected contractor must provide proof of company’s insurance 2.
