Description: Escambia County had performed a site inspection and preliminary engineering assessment performed for Beulah Landfill. Damages from Hurricane Sally occurred throughout the landfill. Damages included scour, erosion, sedimentation, and armored swale/ spillway collapse. The excessive rainfall caused the onsite drainage systems to overtop resulting in erosion and scour occurring at overflow spillways, down chutes/ flumes, and ponds throughout the facility. Further details for each damaged area are listed in the document below.
