As of 10/4/2022, project has been awarded to Gulf Coast Limestone, Inc for $109,881.96. Sealed bids in duplicate will be received by the City of Hitchcock, Galveston County, Texas for furnishing all plant, labor, material, and equipment, and for performing all work required for construction of: CITY OF HITCHCOCK HIGHLAND DRIVE OUTFALL DITCH IMPROVEMENTS TO SERVE HIGHLAND BAYOU, GALVESTON COUNTY, TEXAS. Major items of work include: (1) 5" Thick Concrete Slope Paving (2) 30" High Density Polyethylene Pipe Storm Sewer (3) 24" Reinforced Concrete Pipe Storm Sewer (4) Earthwork, Ditch Grading and Cleaning (5) 18" Thick Concrete Rip Rap at Outfall Ditch. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Hitchcock or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. City of Hitchcock reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The award will be made to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest acceptable bid. Bids may be held by City of Hitchcock for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
