Injection of chemical compounds into the subsurface using direct-push drilling methods to facilitate remediation of groundwater impacted by chlorinated solvents. Each BIDDER must deposit with their bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS. The OWNER reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities in any bid. No BIDDER may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Contractor is required to attend a Pre-Construction Conference prior to beginning work. The Environmental Consultant will contact the Contractor to schedule the meeting after the project award. Bidders are advised that State Prevailing Wage requirements WILL apply to this contract. Prospective BIDDERS may address questions to Doug Rucker, Patriot Engineering and Environmental, Inc., at 5300 DuPont Circle, Suite D, Milford, OH 45150, (513) 817-1600 extension 7130 (ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT). Each BID must be accompanied by a BID BOND (payable to the OWNER) for the full amount of the bid or a certified check, cashier check or letter of credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the BID. As soon as the BID prices have been compared, the OWNER will return the BONDS of all except the three (3) lowest responsible BIDDERS. When the AGREEMENT is executed, the BONDS of the two (2) remaining unsuccessful BIDDERS will be returned. The BID BOND of the successful BIDDER will be retained until the PAYMENT and PERFORMANCE BOND have been executed and approved, after which it will be returned. A PERFORMANCE BOND and a PAYMENT BOND, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for a faithful performance of the CONTRACT upon OWNER providing notice of award to the successful BIDDER. A combined BID guaranty and CONTRACT BOND may be permitted in lieu of separate bonds substantially in the form set forth in R.C. 153.571 as per the attached. Commence work on or after November 1, 2022. Substantial Completion by January 31, 2022. Complete all work by February 15, 2023. 1. Milestone No. 1 - Substantial Completion: $150.00 /day 2.
