Since the Pre-Bid Meeting is being held on Metra property, each attendee will be required to sign a liability waiver at the meeting in order to participate. This pre-bid meeting is not mandatory, but attendance is encouraged. ALL ATTENDEES ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A HARD HAT, ORANGE SAFETY VEST (CLASS II WITH REFLECTIVE STRIPING), SAFETY GLASSES (SIDE SHIELDS FOR PRESCRIPTION EYEWEAR), AND STEEL TOED SAFETY BOOTS AT THE PRE-BID MEETING. Questions regarding this IFB shall be submitted to Lori Lee, Sr. Contracting Agent email at llee@metrarr.com by 4:00 p.m. on September 1, 2022. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal for this project is 30%. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond of 5% of the total bid price. This is an Illinois Works Apprenticeship Initiative Project. This contract is subject to the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts. All Bids must be only in the form prescribed by METRA and must be made in accordance with this Invitation for Bid, and other Contract documents, are made part of this notice as though fully set forth herein. Metra reserves the right to accept any Bid or any part thereof or reject any and all Bids. Any contract awarded resulting from this bid is subject to funding in part by the Illinois Department of Transportation ("IDOT") and the Regional Transportation Authority ("RTA"); and subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement between IDOT/RTA and RTA/Service Board.
