Renovation of a mixed-use development in Decatur, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 67,600-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; and power facility.
Board of Park Commissioners of Decatur Park District will receive written proposals at the Decatur Park District Administration Office for an offer from interested providers that are capable of designing, engineering, installing, financing, maintaining, and operating a roof-mounted, behind-themeter solar PV project at the Decatur Indoor Sports Complex (DISC), 1295 W. Wood, Decatur, IL 62522. Proposals will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission. The owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the proposals received, to determine the "best value" based on the selection criteria listed in the RFP. All construction work required under the proposal shall pay the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing under the contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS130/1-12). The Decatur Indoor Sports Center (DISC) includes approx.. 67,600 square feet of space on the main floor, with approx.. 17,700 square feet of mezzanine space. The main use of the building is for indoor sports, and major spaces include indoor sports fields, an indoor track, and a gym.
