Contract work generally consists of demolition of two adjoining buildings, termination and marking of existing utilities, and site restoration. Equipment and Services to be provided shall be according to the specifications which are on file at the office of KLH ENGINEERS, INC., 5173 Campbells Run Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15205, and at the Town Office. Work under 2022-05 covers the furnishing of all labor, material, plant, utilities, and services required for the demolition of 132 Main Street in the Town of Greenville. Work shall include the removal of all materials and debris from the property on which the structures were located. Due to the advanced disrepair of the project, no asbestos survey was done. CONTRACTOR to presume all materials to be taken to an asbestos disposal suited facility. B. The demolition project is located in the Town of Greenville, Mercer County. C. In general, the total demolition will consist of, but shall not be limited to, the following: 1. Obtaining all required permits for demolition. 2. Termination of all utilities (gas, water, electric, telephone, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, etc.). Utilities are to be marked on site and locations supplied to OWNER digitally. 3. All erosion and sedimentation control devices. 4. Asbestos abatement, if necessary and as required by Mercer County Health Department or another controlling agency. 5. Demolition of buildings and structures, including the conventional spread footings and caissons. 6. Demolition of walks and steps, except sidewalks along the streets. 7. Backfilling and subsequent compacting of all subsurface areas and surface depressions (basements, wells, cisterns, cesspools, etc.). 8. Removal of all materials of any kind from the project, including all debris and rubbish, as it accumulates and not stored on the site(s) 9. Furnish, erect, and maintain barricades, fences, lights, flashing warning lights, and warning "KEEP OUT" signs. 10. Dust prevention and control. 11. Site cleanup and treatment of disturbed areas.
