The City of Boulder, CO Public Works Transportation Department is seeking bids for inlaid preformed plastic pavement markings installlation. General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 5 % - Labor and Materials Bond 5 % Questions are submitted online No The work consists of inlaid preformed plastic pavement markings. The grooved width shall be the width of the pavement marking plus 1 inch with a tolerance of +/- 1/4 inch. The depth of the grooves shall be 130 mil +/- 5 mils. The contractor shall place new tape in the groove either 6" (on asphalt) or 7" wide contrast (on concrete) per manufacturer application guidelines. This work shall include all necessary traffic control required to conduct the work in a safe and productive manner. All tape materials will be supplied by the City of Boulder and released to awarded contractor from the City's maintenance facility @ 5050 Pearl St, coordinated with the City's Signs & Markings Supervisor Scott Baker at 303-829-2172. All debris generated during this process shall be captured and transported by the awarded contractor to be disposed of at the cities Maintenance facility at 5050 Pearl St per direction of Scott Baker. The Contractor shall provide a method statement to Scott Baker for review no later than 48 hours before the work is to commence. The method statement shall include a detailed description of the work to include the means and methods to cut the groove and place the tape. Any questions should be directed to Scott Baker during the business hours of 7:00am -3:30pm. Please provide questions no later than three days before the close of the bid. No questions will be accepted after that date. All questions received by Scott Baker will be released to the list of perspective bidders one day before the close of the bid.
