Site work for a water / sewer project in Munster, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Bids shall be clearly marked "Bid for CADY MARSH DITCH INTAKE SCREEN RAKER REPLACEMENT" on the outside of the sealed envelope. Bidders shall review and comply with the Instructions to Bidders, which are incorporated by reference, and carefully review all Contract Documents, as defined in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids submitted after the exact time specified for receipt will not be considered. The Contract will consist of the following principal items of work and appurtenances as specified herein and shown on the Contract Drawings. Installation of Three (3), 9-feet nominal width channel trash rakers including the removal of the existing raker and track, installation, site improvements including installation of perimeter fencing, site power upgrade, trailer-mounted standby generator and startup of all equipment. The raker equipment has been pre-purchased and the Contractor shall be responsible for coordination of delivery, unloading, receipt, installation and startup of same. Plan Rooms, Subcontractors and Suppliers are also required to register, obtain and print their own information. All Bidders and Plan Room Distributors will be required to register as plan holders. Failure to register may result in the Bidder not being informed of an Addendum, and lack of acknowledgement may result in the bid being rejected as nonresponsive. Technical questions regarding this project should be addressed to the Engineer: Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. (HRC), 1925 Breton Road SE, Ste 100; Grand Rapids, MI 49506, via email at both: dbenoit@hrcengr.com and jcole@hrcengr.com. Proposals submitted by Bidders who have been debarred, suspended, or made ineligible by any Federal Agency will be rejected. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Town of Griffith, Indiana, the Architect/Engineer, and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. Each bid proposal shall be submitted on the bid proposal forms provided, in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Bid for CADY MARSH DITCH INTAKE SCREEN RAKER REPLACEMENT" and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, executed by the bidder and Surety Company, payable to the Little Calumet River Basin Development Commission in the amount of Five Percent (5.00 %) of the accompanying bid. Proposal Guarantee shall provide assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of the bid, execute the necessary Contract with the Little Calumet River Basin Development Commission. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. No Proposal will be received unless made on the proposal forms furnished as part of the bid documents and delivered to the LCRBDC Administrative Office on or before 12:00 PM, Local time, September 21, 2022. Contractor is encouraged to participate in the MWBE Commission goals as adopted in Resolution Number 2015-04, which is included in the Instructions to Bidders.
