Project Type RFP (Request for Proposal) Response Types Response File Type of Award Lump Sum Bid Bond 0.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 0.00% Pre-Bid Meeting No Online Q&A No Valley Water is seeking proposals from responsive, responsible and qualified firms ("Proposers" or "Proposer") to provide structural engineering and support Services on an on-call or on an "as needed" basis. Consultant shall be responsible for, but not limited to, performing on-call structural engineering support services (Project). These services will be requested on an "as-requested" or "as-needed basis" to assist Valley Water in accomplishing its maintenance, rehabilitation and replacement projects in a timely manner. Valley Water may request services to be performed by the Consultant at any time during the term of this Agreement and by staff at different levels of experience and expertise. The requested tasks may involve structural engineering services to address flood control structures, water treatment structures, water transmission structures and general building structures concerns. The scope of On-Call services will generally include, but is not limited to the following areas of structural engineering: 1) Perform investigations, analysis, and assessments of existing flood control structures, water treatment structures, water transmission structures and general building structures infrastructure including but not limited to bridges, floodwalls, retaining walls, water retaining structures, concrete vaults, water treatment plants, pump stations, office buildings and warehouses, to determine rehabilitation, seismic retrofit or replacement scenario requirements. 2) Develop, evaluate and provide recommendations for conceptual alternatives and strategies for flood control structures, water treatment structures, water transmission structures and general building structures, seismic retrofit or replacement scenarios and projects 3) Develop conceptual, preliminary and final planning and design documents for flood control structures, water treatment structures, water transmission structures and general building structures projects including but not limited to planning study reports, plans, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates 4) Provide construction phase engineering design services, inspection and quality assurance support for the execution of the flood control structures, water treatment structures, water transmission structures and general building structures projects to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications The selected consultant may be precluded from entering into contracts for subsequent planning, design, construction and construction management projects that are a part of these On-Call Structural Engineering services projects. Eligibility to bid under Section 1090 will be evaluated on the specific facts as they exist at the time of bidding on the subsequent planning and design projects. Valley Water intends to retain several separate consultants to perform on-call structural engineering services during the agreement term. Task orders will be issued on a competitive basis when conflicts of interest do not exist. There is no guarantee of any amount of work that will be given to the selected firms. Interviews Tentatively Scheduled for the week of December 5, 2022 - December 9, 2022. All questions and/or requests for clarification concerning this solicitation must be submitted through the Q&A feature on this portal before the date and time stated on the bid information and/or the Q&A tab. The undersigned understands and agrees to be bound to the proposed Scope of Services and Cost Proposal for 180 days from the date of proposal submittal. Proposers may not communicate with Valley Water Board Members, staff, or consultants who currently provide services for Valley Water.
