PUBLIC NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1.1 BID INFORMATION Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Village Trustees, Village of Shorewood, on August 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. prevailing time for the Reconstruction of Diana and Kits Korner Parks. Bids will be opened at the Village of Shorewood, One Towne Centre Boulevard, Shorewood, Illinois 60404. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on August 23, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at the Village of Shorewood, One Towne Centre Boulevard, Shorewood, Illinois 60404. All Bidders are encouraged to attend and sign in at the meeting which will also be attended by the Owner, Architect and Engineer. Anticipated Award of Contract date: September 13, 2022 Anticipated Start of Construction: September 14, 2022 Anticipated Substantial Completion date: November 30, 2022 Unit Price bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time of receipt bids and will be publicly opened at that time. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cash in an amount equal to 10 percent of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Owner. Bids shall be submitted on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to: Mr. Noriel Noriega, P.E., Public Works Director. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the Village.
