Renovation of a municipal facility in Tooele, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The County is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors and trade professionals with the expertise needed to install a new HVAC system in the Tooele County Administration Building located at 47 South Main Street in Tooele, Utah. The system has reached the end of its operational life, and we are looking for a reliable and energy-efficient system to be installed to enhance the comfort and efficiency of our building. We have already procured a detailed HVAC system design and are now seeking a reliable and experienced contractor to carry out the installation in accordance with the provided specifications. Questions Due January 22, 2024 @5PM County's Response to Questions Due January 23, 2024 @ 4PM Tooele County reserves the right to award a contract based on a submitted proposal or to further negotiate with the offeror. The project includes the following key objectives: a. Removal of the old HVAC system, including but not limited to boilers, chiller, air handler units, piping, ducting, valves and valve boxes. b. Installation of the pre-designed HVAC system. Include information on the sequence of work, installation methods and any necessary modifications to the existing infrastructure. c. Conduct comprehensive testing and commissioning of the newly installed HVAC system to ensure it meets design specifications and functions optimally. d. Provide training for Tooele County Facilities staff on the operation and maintenance of the new HVAC system. e. Adherence to local building codes and regulations, including any necessary permits. The project includes removal of existing boilers, chiller, pumps, piping, AHU's, ductwork, and VAV units and replacement with new central AHU, new boilers, new piping, new ductwork, new VAV boxes, and new controls. This Project is a Building Hvac Retrofit. The Contractors Scope of Work is to Remove and Replace This Building's Hvac System Including the Existing Building Monitoring System and Associated Controls. Existing Chiller, Air Handlers, Ductwork, and Hydronic Piping Are to Be Removed. The Building is to Be Retrofitted With a New Dx Rooftop Air Handler, Boiler, Vav Units, and Hydronic Piping System. A New Building Montioring System and Associated Controls Are to Be Provided. Contractor to Provide Structural Upgrades and Reinforcement to Support the New Rooftop Air Handling Unit. A Majority of the Existing Ceilings Are to Be Removed and Replaced as is Required to Perform the Work. The Building's Occupancy and Group, Type of Construction, and Fire Resistance Ratings, Are to Remain Unchanged
