Renovation of a municipal facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The new Municipal Court building was planned and constructed without an adequate number of supervisor/management offices. Currently, there are two complete supervisor offices that are dedicated to the Court Support Services Division; and there are currently three supervisors in the division. One of the supervisors is currently utilizing a cubicle that is located on the first floor to meet day to day supervisory needs. When the supervisor is in need of having a private, one-on-one meeting with a staff member, she borrows an unused office on another floor for that purpose. The Court anticipates that all unused offices will be occupied within the next 3-6 months and will be in need of additional supervisor offices. Additionally, the Court anticipates the hiring of a Deputy Court Administrator soon and currently and office space does not exist for that person/position. As such, the Court proposes the construction of two private offices on the north end of the first floor where the Court Support Services supervisor will be located and where two cubicles are currently located. Activities associated with the construction of the offices include: (1) movement/relocation of lights, sprinklers, diffusers, and all other installed equipment that will require relocation, etc.; (2) the shifting of the existing eight cubicle work stations south in order to make or maintain an aisle in the area in addition to any and all other necessary adjustments to the area; and (3) the relocation of existing cubicle amenities that cannot be utilized in the new offices. Additionally, the Court proposes the building of an additional office on the 3rd floor of the Municipal Court building for the Deputy Court Administrator. The building of the new management office would entail the dismantle and removal of two existing cubicles that are in the identified space and the enclosure of the space for the office. This project is included in the city’s FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program. As of August 19, 2022, further details regarding design and construction timelines have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
