Lincoln County Schools is accepting bids for the purchase of pulpwood and hardwood that will be cleared and thinned by the buyer at West Lincoln Middle School, 260 Shoal Road. Lincolnton, NC 28092. Cut and clear pulpwood/hardwood from approximately four acres of land surrounding the sports complex, Sections A and B (see attachment).
Removal of stumps from Section A, approximately one acre.
Selectively thin and clear thirty-six acres for pulpwood and hardwood Section C (see attachment, parcel 13398).
Tree tops, trimmings and brush should be removed or burned on site following proper permitting and regulations. LCS must approve the location of any on-site location used for burning brush.
The vendor will be responsible for service road in and out of the timbering areas. LCS must approve the location of any service road.
The vendor will be responsible for any permits that are applicable to this project. Bids that do not contain all of the information that has been requested will not be considered during the bid opening. All bids should include the following:
The vendor must perform an onsite visit with Lincoln County Schools Maintenance Coordinator. Contact information below.
The vendor must provide adequate general liability insurance certificate in an amount no less than $1,000,000.00 per occurrence. The vendor will be responsible for any damage done to LCS property that is not authorized in this RFP.
The vendor must provide a copy of the workers compensation certificate covering all employees; this includes any sub-contractor employees.
All vendors must sign a statement agreeing that no employee is currently on a state or federal sex offender registry or has otherwise been charged or convicted of a crime of a sexual nature will be allowed on any school campus.
Purchase pricing should be submitted separately for Sections A, B, and C.
