The purpose of this solicitation is that the City of Bristol, Virginia (hereinafter referred to as the "City") desires to ensure the continued availability of a sanitary landfill site for the economically and environmentally sound disposal of non-hazardous solid waste material generated within the City. Therefore, the City is accepting sealed bids for transportation and disposal services of the City's solid waste. The City seeks to receive bids on a price per ton basis for the services being requested. The Bidder should reflect all costs (disposal fees, transportation costs, and taxes) in its price-per-ton response. The scope of work is provided generally and is described as: Transportation and disposal of solid waste; provide all necessary equipment, maintenance, and personnel to facilitate these actions; obtain all necessary operating permits; and maintain appropriate licensure, liability insurance, and performance bonds.
