The City of Alhambra is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit and select a qualified firm to provide services as it relates to a comprehensive citywide survey and to assist the City in developing a new Historic Preservation Ordinance as part of the City's new Historic Preservation Program. Under the direction of staff from the City's Community Development Department, the consultant will provide the range of expertise to perform a comprehensive Citywide survey of all buildings and carry the project forward to assist the City to develop its first Historic Preservation Ordinance and framework for a new Historic Preservation Commission. Deadline for question & comment period No later than 5:30 pm (PST) on Thursday, August 4, 2022 Responses to questions posted on the City's portal Tuesday, August 9, 2022 City review of proposals Week of August 22, 2022 Interviews (in person at City Hall) Week of August 29, 2022 City Council Award of Contract Monday, September 12, 2022 The City has attempted to provide all information available in this RFP and no formal preproposal conference or communication will be held. It is the responsibility of each respondent to review, evaluate, and as necessary, request any clarification during the open Questions and Answers period before the submittal of a proposal. All questions and requests for clarifications must be submitted and received by City no later than 5:30 pm (PST) on Thursday, August 4, 2022. Questions received by the City after this designated time will not be answered. Only written questions submitted during the Questions & Answers period will be accepted and no response(s) other than those posted on the City's website will be provided. Responses by the City will be provided through the issuance of a formal Addenda to this RFP posted on the City's website on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. The Addendum with responses to questions or requests for clarification will be posted on the City portal. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
