The city of sugar land has identified the need for pavement rehabiliatation at various locations: The locations of these sites will be provided by the city eiter by list or as needed based on the city's needs. On call - pavement rehabiliation needs includes the complete repair of sugar land pavement sections, while upholding sugar land's specified standards(standard drawings attached) whether concrete, brick or asphalt. The city is comprised of 98% concrete pavement and 2% asphalt, most repairs will be made on typical jointed concrete pavement sections. Occasionally this contract will be used to address other needs as determined by the city such as, drainage rehabilitation(inlets and bird baths), curbs, sidewalks and driveways as needed. If the contractor is at fault for damages as a result of construction practices, the city is to be notified immediately with a detailed description of the incident. Damages caused will also be the responsibility of the contractor to address at no additional cost to the city. Job sites that are addressed are expected to be returned back to satisfactory standards, this includes the need for backfill, sod restoration, curb lines, irrigation repairs, etc. Occasionally, significant traffic control will be needed for major thoroughfares, which will be determined by the city. These thoroughfares will require the use of right-of-way permits, and the coordination of public works staff and the traffic department staff. For questions regarding this bid, no later than 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2022. The City Council will award the contract as provided in the Invitation to Bid. The City of Sugar Land will give notice of the contract award within sixty (60) calendar days after the opening date and time.
