The construction project involves the construction of two additions to the TTF Kings Bay Facility (B1065) consisting of a 26,661 GSF addition to support Strategic Systems Program (SSP) Missile Control Center Team and an 8,469 GSF addition to support Naval Sea Systems Command. The additions will contain large operational training simulators. Minor renovations and modernization to existing B1065 will consist of providing secure passage to the new building additions. This includes a renovation of 249 GSF of existing vacated space for a NAVSEA Entrance Turnstile as well as other selective modifications to walls, foundations, components, and systems as required for constructing the new additions. Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS) include cybersecurity features in accordance with current Department of Defense (DoD) criteria. This project will provide Antiterrorism (AT) features and comply with applicable service and Geographic Combatant Commander policies and directive per UFC 4-010-01DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings. The SSP addition will provide a multi-story building addition to the existing TTF to house new Strategic Weapon Training System (SWTS) labs and training support equipment in support of the COLUMBIA Trainer Expansion Program.
