The primary goal for this RFP is to select firms to provide a variety of asbestos and lead abatement services on an as needed basis at facilities owned, operated and maintained by Aurora Public Schools ("APS"). Projects will be of a short timeframe and project values will generally be between $10,000 and $100,000. The response provided shall establish unit prices of asbestos/lead abatement as well as a markup for any required subcontractors. APS intends to award to more than one contractor via this RFP. Awarded contractors will be selected for individual projects based on subject matter expertise, fee proposal, schedule availability, and current work load. The awarded Contractor(s) shall comply with all the applicable provisions of the Local, State and Federal laws including required licensure. Contractors are required to be listed on the most current Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) list of "Colorado General Abatement Contractors". APS will not allow any certified Colorado General Asbestos Abatement Contractors that are listed on the most current CDPHE Asbestos Enforcement Cases list with a "Case Finding" of Guilty in the past 24 months.
