Bidding Documents will be transmitted through a web link provided to perspective bidder upon receipt of the request via email to the Project Contact. Email request must reference Architect's Project Number and include Bidders Company, Company address, Telephone and Facsimile numbers, Bidder's Contact individual and associated email address. Dragona, Ed. D., Qualified Purchasing Agent, at the Board of Education office address listed above; however, no bid will be considered, regardless of the postmark, unless it is in the hands of the Purchasing Agent, prior to the time set for the opening of the bids. Bids may also be delivered in person to the Purchasing Agent between the hours 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on official business days. Notice to Award/Notice to Proceed, on or about Thursday, September 29, 2022 Union City Board of Education shall determine the ability of the Bidder (Contractor for Single Overall Contract SOC-1) to perform the Work required by the Bid Documents in accordance with procedures outlined in the Project Manual. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to submit a Bid for the project, Bidders, or the bidder's subcontractor shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction; the prime bidder shall be qualified in the following trades as required by the work: C032 HVACR Refrigeration, Heating and Ventilation Systems and Equipment. The Union City Board of Education reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in the bids, and to award the bid to a responsible and responsive bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for period of (60) days from the date set for the opening of bids as set forth above.
