The scope of work will consist of the removal of approximately 72 hazard trees (mainly Ash), which must be removed by cutting, chipping limbs and stump grinding, etc. as directed by the Borough of Downingtown staff. The trees vary in height, caliper (diameter) and shapes. he bidder awarded the work will be responsible for cleanup and restoration of all areas where the work will take place. All waste, including but not limited to logs, chips, stump grindings, and sticks must be removed from Borough of Downingtown property and be disposed of in a responsible manner. All safety rules must be followed in accordance with proper tree removal practices, and caution must be taken as the work will take place in an active park. Areas of the park will be closed down as needed and coordinated with Borough staff as trees are removed for the safety of users within the park. All work must be completed by September 30, 2022. All bidders shall include three references and a certificate of workers compensation insurance and liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 (One million dollars and no cents) naming The Borough of Downingtown as an additional insured with the bid packet.
