Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a laboratory facility in Lubbock, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a 12,600-square-foot laboratory facility; for the demolition of a laboratory facility; for the renovation of a laboratory facility; and for site work for a laboratory facility.

The purpose of this project is to expand the Lubbock LARC space to meet the future needs of the TTUHSC research community and to aid in expansion and elevation of Biomedical Research at TTUHSC. The project should incorporate new technologies and modern built-in equipment necessary for the future needs of the principal investigators. The new space will be a barrier animal facility adjacent to the existing LARC facility. The space for the expansion of the LARC is in the basement of Pod C. Combined, the identified spaces are approximately 12,600 sq. ft. These rooms are currently labeled BC100, BC110, and BC150. Additional adjacent spaces may be considered and captured as part of project. These include the medical photography and a temporary research lab to the southwest of the LARC and the old Gross Anatomy lab to the northeast of the LARC in Pod B. Project Budget: $15,000,000 Approx.
